Default Mobile phone number opt out

Just sat through this on BBC Breakfast. What's the bet the tracing services and DCA's will be working overtime to get your number and you will be taking calls from this service. I'm opting out, espcially in light of my conversation with Barclaycard yesterday and a text message I received.

I have put Barclaycard on notice and told them in no uncertain terms they are to remove my mobile number from their records. I never authorised them to have it in the first place and I never agreed for them to contact me this way. I have warned them I will be reporting this to the ICO if I am contacted on my mobile again. This is unauthorised data they have collected from a call made while overseas regarding my card . They were wrong in their message to me and I had paid my payment on time and gave them the reference number. Ooops barclaycard have made a boo boo, she could even tell me how much I had paid, so my payment wasn't late, it was at their end that the records had been updated regarding my account. Of course if I get 12.00 late charge, guess who is going to raise a stink over it.

Did you notice the guy on the BBC news last night, he stated that the directory will be very useful in contacting people where there is no address;
A DCA perhaps.

Anyhow, we all knew that this was coming and it will get worse:

Finally managed to get through to them and opt out. All three mobiles are now registered as OPT OUT. if anyone tries to contact Obi One Bung Lung, I will give the latitude and longitude of where the wreath and his ashes went overboard from the HMNZS Te Mana. It has taken two days to acheive the opt out.
